According to Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s media aide, this initiative aims to ensure efficient, transparent, and accountable management of external grants for the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (NHSRII).
SCO-PMU will report to a Steering Committee/Ministerial Oversight Committee led by the Minister and including the Minister of State, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, and representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, and relevant development partners.
Serving as the secretariat and delivery unit for NHSRII, SCO-PMU will be led by Dr. Muntaqa Umar Sadiq, who brings over 17 years of experience in public health and related sectors.
